WELL FIRST AT ALL HAPPY NEW YEAR TO EVERYBODY HERE IN THE COMMNITY I WILL TR TO BE MORE ACTIVE. I ATE LIKE CRAZ BECAUSE MY DEPRESSION WORSENED IN THE HOLIDAYS, BECAUSE OTHER THAN MY KIDS,HUBBY AND GRANDKIDS, I DO NOT HAVE FAMILY AT ALL, SO I GET THE BLUES BAD,ANYWAY I JST ATE AND ATE I MADE TAMALE TWICE, LIKE 100 AND I BAKED,SO MUCH NOW I HAVE TO PAY THE CONSEQUENCES OF MORE OVERWEIGHT AGAIN, SO MY BACK IS KILLING, I WILL DO MORE EXCERCISE AND TRY TO EAT LESS, AND SMALLER PORTIONS,MY MAIN RESOLTION FOR THIS YEAR IS TOO LOOSE SERIOS WEIGHT, GOD GAVE ME THE MOTIVATION AND STRENGHT TO DO IT, WISH YOU ALL THE BEST IN YOUR'E RESOLUTIONS!!!!!!!!!!!! XXOOXOOXO

What?Other than Yourkids, husband, grandkids…that's a lot of family.You should be grateful to God you have them, and they love you more than anyone else, that's why they were there for you at the Holidays!Try drinkiing a glass of water before you eat.Helped me start losing weight after being on Seroquel for the side effects of sleepiness.I went from 135 to 189!Now I'm 112-116, and if I keep it down enough, it makes a big difference in my pain(esp. arthritis)

Good luck with the weight loss. It is something that I have been fighting with for years and I am not winning…yet, but I will keep on trying because you are right, you do feel better when you lose the extra pounds.

It's really hard to lose weight when you're limited to the amount of exercises you can do. I've been fighting it ever since I had to stop work in 2008. I don't eat that much at all, but I can't exercise because I can't even walk far without falling. Now that we no longer have a pool, I can't do any non-weight bearing exercises. It's really frustrating.

I've been doing exercises in bed for years.The ones I do are hip abduction/adduction and then on your side stil, knee to knee w/foot up knee down on other knee and switch to knee up from knee on the floor so toe touches other toe, and back and forth..works the butt and inner/outer thigh but can aggravate a bad hip so be careful. I do modified sit-ups I try to lift straight up to the ceiling and stop when I feel i MUST ROLL My neck forward. I keep one leg crossed and it works the obliques, especially if you try to bring the elbow oppositite the knee that's crossed to touch theknee and down again. It might knoot be aerobic, but it's made a world of diffference.

The only problem with those types of exercises is that they exacerbate my sciatic pain, which is the worst part of the pain I have. The spinal cord stimulator is supposed to help that kind of pain, so maybe after I get that done, I'll be able to try it.

Too bad.I can't do them all the time either.The p.t . gave me an exercise to strengthen rhomboids.Painful at first, but felling stronger or better posture.I work my shoulders for 45 minutes!!!The back exercise is easy.They are trying to retrain and get my muscles working again in that area.I'm stubborn so it's hard to admit, but I think the p.t . is helping.Just squeeze your shoulder blades together, slowly, unitl they touch, then relax completely.ten repsx3.Can be done anywhere, of course it hurts, but it gets better.I ended-up seeing the P.A. that hates me.The doctor kept giving me fentanyl for the ablations, and on a random drug screen of course it comes up!The bad visit I had I brought my mom so she could give him more of an idea of what she sees.He was VERY disrespectful to her.She asked him, don't u ever talk to Dr.Sundstrom, her primary care doc?his answer was"Does he ever talk to me?"He's in his early thirties.What an ASS!If I didn't need my meds..I would've stood up for my mom.Gosh, he's a dirty pair of underwear!!I have pt again today.Oh boy.Good Luck everyone!I hope today is a good day for you all!

It really bothers me when you have medical professionals that are just mean. No one should be treated poorly until they prove that they need to be. You hear about this type of thing happening all the time and it really makes me nuts.

My pain causes a lot of anxiety and that has kept my weight down.Problem is I'm not absorbing all the nutrients, so I'm light-headed.Is there any happy medium?

It is interesting, because if I am having anxiety, then I eat more. Not only do I eat more, but I eat comfort food which of course is loaded with carbs and things that are not good for you. My weight goes up and then I am just getting upset because I have to try and lose it again, and honestly, I hate to diet. Really hate it!

I have had the issue of not being able to exercise as well. PT is suppoed to correct the slippage in my spine yet I can't do the exercises properly because of the pain…from the slippage in my spine. See the vicious circle… so now at 5'2" and amlost 215, I am at the largest I have ever been when not pregnant…in fact a lot of the time I feel like I am about 6 months pregnant. So at my last visit the doctor said he is refering me to the weight loss clinic and there we may discuss the options of lap band. Oh and Dave…I too eat (the bad comfort food) when I am feeling anxious or blue.

Eat only the amount equal to your fist, drink glass of water before beginning eating..it takes brain 20 min, to get signal of how full the stomach is.

Good rule of thumb is to eat only the amount of food equal to your fist.Your brain won't acknowledge your stomach being full until 20 minutes has passed.The fist size is in relationship to stomach size.Glass of water before you eat also helps this

I've been going to P.T., my upper back hates it, but I'm getting stronger, and I guess that is the only thing that's going to REALLY make a difference.My idiot doctor(he IS!), increased my meds, 60 bid mscontin, 100mgmscontin to take in the middle of the day or at night.I cannot sleep through the night because the pAIN wakes me up.The doctor says"You need a sleep study".No I don't I donot have sleep apnea or any other sleep problem,it's HIS problem because he can't get me on meds that will help the pain,thus allowing me to sleep.He tells me to get an rx for marijuana, instead of keeping me on soma and changing meds. I don't agree with a lot of pharmaceuticals out there(you see them in countless commercials, narrated by a 'non-attorney paid spokesperson")but I'm at a loss. It is legal here.I've been told it takes up to 6 months to get the rx, Years ago in cali., I had gran mal seizures, I had a cardiac arrest and was intubated.I was given an rx for marijuana and it stopped my seizures!Even though I have none of that in my body(not for years now),my seizures have been gone for 7 YEARS!!I am confused.I want to feel better, not vomit and be productive.I don't want to lose my memory.But I'm also tired of suffering..Anyone have any ideas?What a spot!

We had a lady on about a year ago that had marajuana and it was the best for her. She was very careful about using it and did not publicize that she had it and it really worked for her. I am not really sure if it is something that depends on the individual, but I am sure that it can be used benefically if you have a doctor who is familiar with it.
I can really sympathize with the lack of sleep. I rarely sleep through the night. If I don't take something to aid in sleep, I catnap all night long. Just last night I wake up about every hour on the hour. I have to change positions and I guess I just can't do it in my sleep.
What is making you throw up?
