With intent to ease their pain, Cornell University engineers in Ithaca and doctors at the Weill Cornell Medical College in New York City have created a biologically based spinal implant that could someday spell relief for these countless sufferers.

I can't say that I understand all the science, but it gives me hope for the future, maybe not my future, but the future. Maybe the next generation will not have to suffer the same way that we have had to suffer.
