Lubiderm Patches and vibrating heat pad

Lubiderm patches are number patches. It numbs the area. They work 12hrs on and 12hrs off. Can be cut to fit anywhere. In conjunction with meds they work awesome! Full length vibrating heat pad is also excellent! It has different cycles and intensity with the heat. Works when nothing else does!!

I never had any relief from the lipoderm patches, but they do contain an antiinflammatory, just didn't seem to go deep enough.

While the lubriderm patches never helped with my pain (basically because most of it was sciatica), the full length vibrating heating pad did help me when I was still able to work. There are different areas of the pad that you can set to vibrate individually and you can use it with and without heat.

I have used these patches off and on for several years now. They work for me for a few months and then my body becomes adjusted to them and they no longer ease my pain. I have to back off for several months and then start over.

Thanks for the info. I am going to ask my pcp about that one. I am on all kinds of meds and at times the low back still gives me fits. Between the heat and the vibrating, I can see how it would be helpful.

I use the patches all the time. You do have to be careful, though. They can bunch up and cause a burn - they did on me. Will most insurance cover the heating pad? That would sure be a plus to have, especially if I do not have to pay for it.

Lol…I had a tens unit when they first came out in the 80s. Didn't work then either!lol… I like the patches cuz they always feel cold when you first put them on. And you're right. By themselves I don't think they do much. But with meds or the back pad, they do help…

Where did you find your vibrating heating pad? Will it work while you are sitting in like a Lazy Boy recliner?

Pros

Numbing the pain or deadening it for atleast a few hrs. is a plus! The back pad works for all kinds of pain. Even good for cramps! You can use it for hrs. set it to different cycles to concentrate to one area or more and the different intensity settings are great!

Cons

The patches have a tendency to wrinkle up. The vibrating heat pad is not comfortable for actually sleeping on. Unless you normally sleep on your back.
